The technology analysis pages page continues the 30,000 foot analysis of the Sample Return challenge focusing on the state of robotics and other technologies that might be used in the competition. This is limited to my specific knowledge of the state-of-the-art so may miss many possibilities. I welcome any comments others may have. However, please keep in mind the cost limitations and the public availability of technologies when you comment. If a platform costs $7 million it isn't likely to be used in the competition. Anything under security classifications probably cannot be used.
Broadly, technology is separated into hardware and software.
